Sen. John McCain suggested in an interview that he might not run for another term - and then backtracked on Twitter.
The president and I, hes in his last term, Im probably in mine, the relationship we have had over the past three years is quite good. Quite good, McCain, 77, said to supporters while being interviewed by The Wrap on Thursday.
When asked whether this would indeed be his final term by the publication, McCain (R-Ariz.) said he has to decide in about two years.
Nah, I dont know. I was trying to make a point. I have to decide in about two years so I dont have to make a decision. I dont want to be one of these old guys that shouldve shoved off, McCain said.
