If this isn't the proper forum, will a starred member please repost this in the correct forum? I have two children - one older and one younger - than this child and I would hope people would spread this info as far and wide as necessary if one of my babies was missing. I hope DUers in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama and Georgia will see this, too (Tennessee is a long state! Lots of states surround us!)
Benjamin Tipton (11 years-old)
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is issuing a Statewide AMBER Alert for the Spring Hill Police Department for 11-year old Benjamin Ross Tipton. Benjamin was last seen leaving his Spring Hill home on a blue bicycle at approximately 2:30 pm, September 17th , 2013. His bicycle was located at the Kroger in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Benjamin is a white male with short brown hair, hazel eyes, weighs 80lbs and is 500 tall. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and jean shorts and was carrying a blue backpack. If you have seen this child, please contact the Spring Hill Police Department at 931-486-3269 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

(11,366 posts)I hate to say this, but, in most of these alerts, its a non-custodial parent who often (but not always) means no harm to the child, but either just wants to see the child and/or cause pain and concern for the custodial parent.
These two cases don't seem to be of that variety, which scares me to death.
