social media, and automated telephone alert systems have all contributed to the much lower death toll. I suspect most of those 201 are just fine and don't know that they are among the "unaccounted for".

There's a lot of backcountry that's been cut off from the rest of the world. Roads washed out, phone lines washed out, power washed out, cell signals gone, so we may have a bunch of people who are fine, but cut off.

though they are completely cut off and the only way in or out is by helicopter. They are fools. Winter is fast approaching.

I've been trying to keep up with all that is going on there, so thanks for this update!

Several years ago, Middle Tennessee went through a 1000 year flood. At first, 100's were missing but later were rescued so I was hoping the same would be the case here.
