7. Taking the Bible literally is stupid, because it literally contradicts itself...

...and there are so many sections in it, particularly in the Old Testament, that were quite clearly written for particular tribes of people at particular points in history.

Of course, biblical fundamentalists cherry-pick the Bible to justify their own personal and social prejudices.
