(39,909 posts)As anyone who has had cats knows, house cats "Purr" on both the inhale and the exhale.
While the Bic Cat in the video was making purring noises,
and obviously deeply enjoyed the contact,
he/she stopped purring on the inhale.
Makes me think it was more of a low growl of pleasure.
None-the-Less, it was a great video.

Funny, I read once that mountain lions are the only big cats that purr.
I have heard cheetah cubs purring, though.

(9,696 posts)Went to Tippi Hendrens Cat Sanctuary and one of the big cats was purring.
Loved that big old paw guiding the human hand - oh, here, right there! ahhhhhhh.....my DSH does the exact same thing though his paws are much smaller than mine.
