Two teens attack one's mom, plan to eat her liver after pill binge, deputy says

Two teens attack one's mom, plan to eat her liver after pill binge, deputy says

(CNN) -- Two teenagers -- 13 and 14 years old -- are in custody in Spokane, Washington, and the mother of one of the teens is recuperating in a hospital after she was attacked by the boys following a pill-taking episode, authorities said.

The boys apparently had planned to kill the woman, who is the 13-year-old's mother, and eat her liver, Spokane County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Chamberlin told CNN Friday.

"The 14-year-old came up with the idea of, 'Hey, let's rip her open and eat her liver,' but it never happened," said Chamberlin. Instead, the older boy allegedly beat the woman with the handle of a sword, Chamberlin said, adding, "I think that was their original plan, to cut her open, but then they changed their minds."

The woman was left bloodied with head injuries after the incident Tuesday, and remained hospitalized Friday in stable condition at a local hospital.

My throat closes up and I can't get it down.

My ex insisted on liver once. When he saw me lean away from the stove and puke into the trash can, he knew that was never gonna happen again.

I never minded if he ordered it at a restaurant. As long as I didn't have to smell it cooking or eat it myself, I was (and am) just fine.

Just yesterday I had a comb in my hand and said to my cat, "Comb?"

She came running up to me so I would comb her.

When I see her clawing something she should not be clawing, I say, "No clawing" and she goes and claws her cardboard/catnipped ramp that I have for her.

She does other things too and she sings a long with music that she likes on the radio (hums along with it if it is something she likes and she whistles too!).

That is not a dumb animal. It is a superior being that has the likes of me waiting on her paw and mouth!

She is very very smart, far smarter than most people I know, that is for sure!

Who eats liver?

In all seriousness, what kind of drug makes you want to kill your mom and eat her organs besides an extreme dose of PCP or bath salts and the like?

And then, at the end of the article, is the subtle dig on ecstasy possibly being the cause. I've done plenty of ecstasy; there's no way you are developing the urge to eat mommy's liver on that drug. None.

... thanks for the link. I wonder why the recent spate of really extreme drugs that cause dangerous delusions such as this (assuming it does) and bath salts?

Why do people want to be in such states? This isn't an LCD trip or a fun shroom zoom - this is extreme psychosis that pose a danger to the user and to others.

I'm certainly no drug prohibitionist, by any stretch, but I guess since I'm a bit older, I'm a little concerned about the rise in use of these types of drugs.

It's neither a hallucinogen or meth level stimulant that would result in such bizarre behavior. But it has been helping many people with chronic pain issues and those with opiate addiction. It's not really a 'party drug' in any way I could think of and shouldn't be being sold in 'smoke shops' as being one. Unfortunately because it is the sensationalists and drug warriors will probably win and end up getting another potentially helpful and generally safe herb banned

Based on available data, members noted that habitual users of mitragynine could develop marked withdrawal syndromes, including hostility, aggression, rhinitis, inability to work, excess tears, muscle and bone aches and jerky limb movement. Members concurred with the view that there was a strong possibility of addiction if mitragynine was used in doses high enough for mu-receptor crossover (1974-2003 Thomson Micromedex. Micromede R) Healthcare Series Vol. 115) and agreed to restrict the use of the substance.

This piece says Australia has placed kratom in their Schedule 9, the most restrictive schedule - equivalent to the US Schedule I.

(Scroll down to "Kratom Psychosis.&quot

It appears, at least to me, that the effects of kratom are individualized - for some people it's fine, great shit, and completely harmless; for others it will completely fuck you up. And if it turns out that kratom is the "blue pill" they took, they were at the far end of the "fuck you up" scale.

Their arraignments are Tuesday. We should know what they took then.

The Aussies solely clasisfied it based on Thai reports. and there were 5- count em 5- alleged cases of 'kratom psychosis' in Thailand 3 of which involved self reported use of amphetimines and other drugs as well. I guarantee you there are thousands of bogus reports of marijuana psychosis you could dig up as well.
You originally spoke out your ass based on a single sensationalist story you googled up. This sad attempt to prove yourself right is no better. And no, the effects not individualized, they're very consistent, Please just stop talking about things you know nothing about.

No one but drug warriors and sensationalist journalists have claimed it causes hallucinations and delusions. As stated in the article you posted Kratom acts as a mild to moderate stimulant in doses lower than 7 grams of dried leaf for most people and as an analgesic/sedative in larger doses. A large dose of highly concentrated extract form would put you to sleep, not turn you into a cannibal. It has been used for ages in Southeast Asia to combat fatigue and to help overcome opiate addiction. Thailand made it illegal because of it's interference with opium revenues.

It's probably slightly more dangerous than cannabis, but much less so than alcohol.

that flew under the legal radar for a while by constantly changing their formulations. I dont think they were ever considered harmless good fun. Kratom is neither synthetic or a hallucinogen, it comes from a tree in the same family as coffee and has a long history of use in parts of southeast Asia. The reasons it was made illegal in Thailand were fairly similar to why Cannabis was made illegal here; because it's popular amongst minority ethnic groups and the working class and it was interfering with the profits of an existing drug industry.

Again, shame on you for either deliberately or ignorantly spreading misinformation.
