really stupid question IRT "Obamacare" and how it effects Tricare.

retired Military here,
what changes am I going to see
in regard to Tricare coverage.
I have standard, so that if the Dr. is not
a tricare provider, I pay whatever tricare
does not.
example: Dr charges 75 dollars for X-rays. Tricare pays 25. I pay 50.
(believe me, I look for providers, they agree to charge what
Tricare pays )

I have looked online and there are all kinds of stuff out there.
some saying it will not effect Tricare at all, some saying only service related
injuries will be covered by Tricare, some saying Tricare isn't a recognized
insurance. (I know for a fact that is wrong.)
would like some info, thanks.

policy won't change either or if it does you will be notified. ACA is mostly for people who don't or have very little coverage. You're good to go. Did you read this?? http://www.militaryauthority.com/benefits/health-care/tricare/health-care-reform-does-it-affect-tricare.html Hope this helps and thanks for your service to this country.

First off, welcome home.

Now, here is the PDF:

Unfortunately there are too many variables involved to give you a quick answer. It's possible (even likely) your Tricare is unaffacted, but you may have a different network than you expect.

Feel free to PM me with any questions; if you are not involved in your local American Legion I would also suggest you look there too (the legion processes and aids veterans' benefits even if you're not a member; but it's also good to be a member).
