"It is Harry Reid and Obama's fault if the government shuts down..."

This is what the Republicans have been saying for the last few days. We are screwed as a nation if the media and the people cannot tell the difference between the facts and a bald-faced lie.

Also, they say that the "polls show America is against Obamacare' and they are only doing what America wants. Maybe they are talking about Gallup polls? The one that were so wrong in the last election? Remember how they picked Mitt Romney to win the election?

In fact, Romney made that one of his main issues in the last campaign. If he was elected, he would repeal Obamacare. It was on the ballot. The people voted against Mitt Romney and for Barack Obama. He won by about 5 million votes. In the only poll that really mattered, they lost.

So, whose fault is it if the government shuts down? If Harry Reid and President Obama do not go along with the Republican extortion, are they to blame? In what world would that be given any credibility at all? The media simply refuses or is unable to tell the people the truth. And that is why the right-wingers continue to lie. And that is why we are on our way over the cliff.

It's mainly a "he said, she said" argument and rather neutral in consequence, in my opinion.

The RNC rep named some companies and said they were dumping employees from Obamacare in favor of the exchanges!! I'm about to lose my mind over how the media is just not even pretending to do their job.

8. I fear that the reason for this is due to interview terms.

GOP talking heads/speakers will just not go to an interview that they could not pre-screen questions and have topics that are out of bounds for the reporters.

The other issue is that networks/interviewers want an opposing opinion otherwise they would be considered "unbalanced" and they could just whine and propagate the alleged liberal bias of the media.

It isn't a liberal media bias, they just f-in lie about everything so if they go in to any of those interviews, they have covered themselves enough that reporters can't touch them. If reporters were to do that, they would not get any other interviews, particularly from any one higher up.
