Confiscated pot dumped in Tahoe National Forest

A large amount of marijuana recently confiscated by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office was dumped and left untended in Tahoe National Forest in proximity to a popular trail. And because the site has a paywall, the story is that it was actually very useable and not mixed with other material. My town right here, one of the major pot growing regions in the country. Had to have been quite the pile.

Why didn't they compost it first and then dump it in the forest? Wood chips would compost as well.

They said they have better things to do than hunt for pot, that I should go get some manure somewhere.
