(111,339 posts)so the coil doesn't set the house on fire, but I'd still rather people suck in nicotine steam than fuck up the air with tobacco smoke.
Nicotine still does terrible things to the cardiovascular system, so it's better to quit. E cigs hav actually helped people to quit by tapering them down slowly, so I have to recommend them for people who would like to quit.
Besides, it sounds like the failures are pretty rare and injuries are even rarer.

(1,213 posts)Any battery can be dangerous. If you take the proper precautions, follow the directions and use and charge them correctly IMHO they are no more dangerous than any other electronic device. I have never had any problems with mine.
