FBI releases chilling video and images of Navy Yard gunman Aaron Alexis
THE FBI has released video that shows gunman Aaron Alexis during his deadly rampage through the Washington Navy Yard.
The FBI also released images that showed Alexis etched phrases into the shotgun he used in the shooting spree in which he killed 12 people. Etched into the barrel of the shotgun were the words “End to the torment!”, while elsewhere Alexis has scratched the words "Not what yall say!" "Better off this way!" and "My ELF weapon!"
In the video, Alexis can be seem walking the hallways of the building with a shotgun and running towards a group of people as they flee.
At one point he seems to take cover at a corner in a hallway and peeks around to see what lies ahead, then takes off, walking fast. He is not seen opening fire in any part of the footage.
