Estimate your ACA premium ( Silver and Bronze)

This calculator has me paying $ 9,560 ( no subsidies for me) for the silver plan ... this is cheaper that the absolutely crappy plan for which I have to pay about 11,000 a year ( for a family of 3 people) - However my crappy plan has no copays or deductibles and pays upto 700/year/person for office visits.

That's for me and my son. My employer coverage is $2500 a year out of my pocket and $7200 that the employer picks up so $9700 a year for the current plan but it is way better coverage with negligible copays and almost no deductible.

Because if you put in the US average, the figure given for an unsubsidized Silver Plan is $6,680 (I tried this at different income levels above the subsidy level, for a family of 3--at $75,000, $120,000), etc.

You'd better wait until your state has an actual exchange up.

I get my coverage through an employer right now -- still can't afford my care. I would be even worse off under the plan that was recommended for me: Enhanced Silver 73. I am on already on the bubble financially (but make too much for MediCal) -- if I had to cover these medical costs plus a premium I would be totally SCREWED. I do not have that kind of money.
