The party is suffering a crisis because its various factions are pulling in different directions. They could all begin to cooperate again, or they could collapse into truly separate groups. Personally, I think the coalition the Republicans have been relying on for decades will fall apart, but the party will remain. There is too much money and power backing the party for it to truly "die" in any meaningful sense, and they still hold too many positions of power in state and local governments for that to happen. The movement will continue, but it may have to redefine many of its goals, at least on the public level. The deeper goals are driven by the backers, not the base, and will not vary much. Beyond all of this, it's very difficult for a new party to develop into a viable political force in our system. The current Republican party may re-brand itself or change its configuration, but there will still be a movement to back it and it will be easier to modify the existing party than to replace it. Any changes the Republican party goes through may create some setbacks for it in the short term, but I think it will remain one of the two significant political parties in our system.
