I can't enjoy spending time with people whose life is CONSUMED (24x7) by political ideology.

Some say your choice of friends is indicative of who you are. Others say your choice of friends is indicative of what your politics is.

Fuck the lot of you, and pour me a drink.

For what it's worth... I've NEVER had a headache in my entire LIFE. Swear to Gawd. My Ex-Wife once said it was because I didn't "care about anything". Yeah, maybe that's why she's my Ex-Wife.

I've NEVER had a headache. Think about that the next time YOU get one, and wonder WHY that is.

I don't talk politics with friends, or my girlfriend. When I am not working I want to enjoy myself, not take on the worlds problems.

When I'm out socially, it makes me very uncomfortable when someone starts talking politics UNLESS I know everyone more or less thinks the same. An argument usually breaks out and tensions rise. I know some love arguments and live for them, but I don't. I firmly believe they are usually a waste of time and no minds are changed, only further calcified. A calm discussion, yes, can change minds, but that seems to be the exception to the rule from what I've seen.

YMMV.
