Family seeks justice in Karvas Gamble's shooting death (Florida)

ORLANDO, Fla. —Family and friends of a 19-year-old man killed in a shooting in January are crying for justice.

The group rallied on the steps of the Orlando Police Department on Saturday, saying it's furious that a grand jury decided not to seek criminal charges against the police officers who shot Karvas Gamble.

"I want the police to be accountable for shooting my son," said Gamble's mother, Tangela Lippett.

The grand jury, however, criticized the police operation that ended with the shooting inside a recording studio on Arlington Street. The grand jury blames the incident on poor police planning and communication, saying those inside of the studio couldn't hear police because of loud music.
