What the GOP will learn from this debacle:

Either they would have succeeded or at least Obama would have been blamed for the shutdown.

But that didn't happen. They failed.

Why?

Messaging.
Mitt Romney would have won, if the Republicans had been able to better communicate their point-of-view to voters. Voters like republican politics. They just don't "get" them.
Likewise the republicans were at absolutely no fault in this debacle: The american people would have supported them and blamed Obama, if only the republican messaging had been better.

Their behavior was correct. Absolutely. Without fail. Why can't others see that?
Easy: Bad messaging.

Obama should have let everything shut down the FIRST time they tried this. He is partially to blame for enabling this kind of behavior.

"Better messaging", that wasn't my idea: The republicans tried to find out, why they lost 2012. Their conclusion was that their politics and proposals were flawless. Their proposals didn't get the public support they deserved, because the republicans were unable to explain them properly to the electorate.

I'm not kidding.

An organization of young republicans (20s, 30s) did actual tests and polls. They found out that the republicans lost because they have an image-problem, but their report went largely unnoticed except for some liberal outlets.

They keep wanting those gubmint handouts. They just don't understand what's good for them. Only people with good judgment should be allowed to vote, and it's easy to tell who has good judgment. Minorities don't, kids don't, treehuggers don't, the majority of women don't. You can't really trust anyone but older white males, and them only if they stay educated by watching at least 15 hours of Fox news and listening to 10 hours of Rush per week. Once we get the vote limited to them like it should be, things will go a lot smoother in this country.

I would say the GOP NEVER listens to ANTHING because they have their fingers in their ears yelling, 'LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALAL'!

8. Voters like Republican politics?

So voters want Social Security, Medicare, Police, Firefighters and Schools privatized. They want the minimum wage abolished. They want creationism taught in schools. They want to eliminate the EPA the FDA and other regulatory agencies. They want to reduce regulations on the financial industries. They want women back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant. They want to reverse Rowe vs Wade. They want to ignore climate change. They want to do away with food stamps and financial aid so they can give that money to the "job creators" who now have no limits on how shitty they can pay you.

Yes the voters of this nation just love republican politics. I don't get why they don't understand the message. It's pretty simple... "Fuck Off And Die" not much to be missed there.

Wall Street and what they stand for. Greed, corruption financial collapse...etc.

He also hates Elizabeth Warren and love Brown: neither of which he could articulate in any way.

What I came away with was that this kid needs a few lessons in common sense. He wants to be part of what he hates, and he doesn't know who is really there to help his ass if he ever really needs it: which could be any time.

This kid is the face of the uninformed republican voter.

I do believe they will explain it away that way, but the praise is fake.

Where am I supposed to place the sarcasm-tag then?

<sarcasm>Those poor, oppressed, misunderstood republicans.</sarcasm>

I don't buy that.

Americans are split on many things, but I believe that Some Americans just don't like Obama (whether he is a Dem or African American...or both). I also believe that these Americans wouldn't be able to articulate clearly why they don't Like our President, without outing themselves as racists or haters, just as they wouldn't be able to articulate the Republican brand and how it relates to them, their future and well-being.
