In About six hours they will shut it down - OK then, shut it down, all the way down

The Republicans have forced the upcoming shutdown and it doesn't seem like there's much that can stop it. You know most people won't see the damage they have done, won't notice it a bit. Of course those who do require or simply use Government will feel the pain, but those who are oblivious to it will far outnumber them.

So I say if its gong to be shut down shut it all down. No mail delivery, no contractors get paid at all and should be locked out of all Federal buildings no matter what their jobs. Shut down the Courts, no pay for any Congressional staff, Close all of the Offices of all of the Executive Agencies. Shut down the Department of Defense, no pay for the military, no processing of bills due to any contractors. By god if there is going to be pain let everyone feel it. Then we'll see how the people feel about the need for Government, then we'll see just what all it is that our Government does for us.

And the cost to fire the Government back up when the time comes - and it certainly will come - well, put one excise time tax on all business transactions in the country to pay for it; let's say 10% of the gross value of each transaction until the damage is repaired.

Settled the GOP should throw Cruz under the bus, he has thrown the US under the bus, don't bail him out.

All cities and counties should also shut down. States, too.

Let anarchy rein! That is what the republicans I have known have always been in favor of. Yes, anarchy, is their favorite coolaide. Leave them alone. They can survive without government, they say. Lets show 'em. Shut it all down. Heck, we could all use a week off anyway, and the air would immediately become cleaner, and in 9 months a massive wave of babies!

I can sympathize with federal employees and the anxiety they feel right now. But I do agree with you; I know it will be tough on those affected, but I'm up for this game of chicken. SHUT IT DOWN. All of it. Let's see how quickly those government-hating teabaggers will be begging for it to re-open.

this is who would be affected,
if we can do without in a time of duress, why not all of the time ?
if we can cut these services (as non-essential), why do we have these services ?
feel the pain, it is my opinion that we have entirely to much government intervention as it is.
we absolutely need government, we must all pay our fair share (tax) in order to ensure that an orderly society is maintained.
without structure and order there will be anarchy.
however - what price for our freedom ?
