suspect and several police cars passed the barrier before it activated.

that officer driving the car is the one airlifted due to injuries sustained when the car hit the road spikes/barriers leading to the Capitol. Evidently, the car was unable to clear the area before the spikes.barriers were engaged. No officers injured by shots fired.
