I can't believe she said she was a big Barack Obama fan, and that she has been at both ends of the political spectrum. I don't remember her being anything other than a Republican mouthpiece.

I hope Jon Stewart plays clips of her comments leading up to November 2008.
She has reinvented herself - fugging opportunist.

she was referring to her father as a "doctor" and of course, his practice, in discussions of healthcare and that he was a surgeon and all, over and over and over, and then she slipped and said that in fact he was a dentist/oral surgeon. Now I'm a dentist and am called Dr., BUT I don't pretend that I'm part of the MD/DO healthcare issues and debate...that's a whole different ballgame, believe you me.

I believe she worked for the Bush-Cheney ticket in 2000.

She was always a conservative. She tried to build a career as one of those "Hey look at me, I'm a black conservative" types. Often being black and conservative can get you TV gigs faster because networks like the contrast. (I hope everyone has noticed this in the world of cable TV.)

Then in 2008, with the rise of Barack Obama, many of these (I'm conservative because it helps my career) black pundits were caught in a bind. As a result they suddenly were "independent!" They were "open-minded!"Many of them suddenly even touted Democrats. (See Michelle Bernard's many appearances on "HardBall" in 2008.)

I really hate this kind of stuff. If you choose to bank with the GOP then stay there. The race or gender of our nominee shouldn't matter. It shouldn't suddenly change your mind. BTW... that goes for Condi Rice and Colin Powell too!

Michelle Bernard spends her time building her career supporting destructive GOP policies. Outside of drastically changing positions/sides in 2008 to briefly "save face" in the black community, she touts conservatism.

I believe Michelle Bernard works for the Women's Independent Forum. If you are confused as to how any woman can work to advance the cause of women while supporting conservative causes like the Women's Independent Forum, you are not alone.

On a different note... she is beautiful.

Here she is with her ex husband

Michelle Bernard use to be a regular on "HardBall." But to my knowledge she has not been on the show in very long time.

Tweety loves Joan Walsh now.

Kornacki's show brought Bernard to mind so I used the Google machine and this thread was among the results. Can't stand either one of them or that odious Michael Steele. Wonder if Bernard still thinks women are in such good shape now. Didn't she used to hang with that Concerned Women group for a while who were advocating that the vote be taken from women? This was during King George of Bush's reign. Gotta double check that one because synapses don't fire as reliably as the used to.

Like the war criminal Colin Powell, Michelle Bernard has Jamaican connections. She supported John McCain big time. It was only after Powell jumped on the Obama wagon that she pretended to change stripes - one more fugging opportunists who can't ever be trusted.

Michelle D. Bernard (born July 30, 1963, Washington, D.C.)[1] is an American journalist, political analyst, author, and President and CEO of the Bernard Center For Women, Politics & Public Policy. She was formerly President and CEO of Independent Women's Forum and Independent Women's Voice.[2]

Bernard graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy. She has a J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, and was a partner at the lobbyist and law firm Patton Boggs. In 2000, she was a member of the Bush-Cheney Presidential Inaugural Committee. She was the chair for the District of Columbia's Redevelopment Land Agency.

It was the Independent Womens Forum that she was CEO of. I distinctly remember her being on during the Bush years and railing about how women should not be exercising political voices or power while she herself was earning a living doing the same damned thing. Most of the women on the right have that same problem. Ultimate hypocrites--using political voices and power to take power away from other women and shut them up. And no one ever calls them on it.

And her defense of Clarence Hill forever puts her on my poop list.
