A few basics about where politics play on religion and religious fanatacism

"We have a president who gives in to religious fanatics in the Middle East."

"We don't want the president forcing religious institutions to respect women's right."

I find those two statements, together, to be a model of intellectual dissonance, at best, intellectual dishonesty, more likely.

So lemme try to get this straight. We are to be angry at the president for negotiating with those in power in the Middle East because they're religious fanatics, but we are to also be angry with him for not caving to the burgeoning power of the religious fanatics in this country.

So . . . . what? . . . . we can get pissed at him after the religious fanatics in this country take it over?

The "religious fanatics" in the Middle East are not Christian, therefore they are bad. The "religious fanatics" saying "We don't want the president forcing religious institutions to respect women's right" ARE Christian, and therefore good. It is that simple in RW ideology.
