On CBS's Face the Nation, Ron Paul said he believed Rush Limbaugh apologized to Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke for calling her a prostitute because advertisers were pulling their ads from his show, not because he regretted what he said.
"I think he should have apologized," said Paul. "I think he gets over-the-top at times, but it's in his best interest, that's why he did it. I don't think he's very apologetic. He's doing it because some people were taking their advertisements off his program. It was his bottom line that he got concerned about."

On CNN's State of the Union, Ron Paul said he doesn't think there's anything wrong with an apology that might calm things down. "I don't think it wrong, but it's pretty much irrelevant. But I think Republicans who are condemning it are a little bit over the top too." The other Republican candidates attacked the President for his apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai over the an incident in which U.S. service members burned Korans on a base in Afghanistan.

Looks like Paul is trying to drum up support from "liberals" who buy into his bullshit.
On CBS's Face the Nation, Ron Paul said Sunday that his campaign considers winning as getting most of the delegates. Paul, appearing from Alaska, pointed to three states he thinks he could win on Super Tuesday: Alaska, Idaho, and North Dakota.

(116,464 posts)everything Paul does is manipulative and opportunistic.
The comment on the "apology" gets to the heart of why Limbaugh did what he did, but Paul still calls it an "apology," and it was nothing of the sort.

(265 posts)Ron Paul has a role, but it isn't what he says it is. Anyone who looks into his background and connections will see it. His biggest donor, Peter Thiel runs this.....

(13,598 posts)have been more intertaining! "I'm so SORRY I'm costing myself money!"
"I'd have been more impressed if he'd gone Swaggart and bawled! Not really but it would have been more intertaining!"
...you weren't impressed by the post on his own site? Limbaugh is a cave-dwelling blowhard and a coward.

(10,893 posts)I'll give Ron Paul props for standing up to Rush. He said what needed to be said, and it's a pity that prominent conservatives like Billo the Clown and Sean Hannity have defended that hate speech, and how Romney keeps ducking questions about that.
