Do you realize the Afghans we are fighting now were 5 or 6 year old little kids on 9/11/2001?

5 or 6 years old. Some of our soldiers were about that young back then too. Shouldn't we be taking this into consideration when discussing how much longer we should stay there?

Few more years and we are going to be fighting Afghans who weren't even born yet when this began.

What a humongous screw up.

The children of Iraq and Afghanistan today have never known a time when they are not at war with America. These wars have given an entire generation a REAL reason to hate America more than any of their elders ever have.

We have yet to see the real consequences of these wars.

Such a small part of what we have done is really about 9/11 sadly. Killed lots of people though. That's kinda impressive and has to count for something. Used up lots of military equipment. That makes military contractors and shareholders happy. We get to drink their milkshake. That makes oil companies and shareholders happy. Get to pin medals on people who kill those kids for defending selflessly freedom, liberty & justice. As they stand proudly and beam they and the masses feel warm and fuzzy.
It's actually been pretty successful from that perspective.
