Now, unfortunately for them, everyone knows their parent company ties to Liberty Media like Barnes and Noble. They need to get hammered, too.

When people support hate, they support hate. These guys slip into portfolios of companies that don't anywhere near support such hate.

What you do, is start targeting the mutual funds and parent companies behind them. When they learn that they can only cluster in groups with ultra-religious churches that regularly spew hate speech anyway, they will get the message.

You can't hide anymore when you support misogyny and bigotry.

I am delighted that social media brings out the real truth--about who does and
doesn't support this right-wing hate.

These rabid radio hosts sit behind their microphones spewing their nonsense with
such big egos. Their callers distort the popularity of this tripe. The majority of
people find Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc. completely despicable and ridiculous.

Social media illustrates that these radical blowhards and their views--are despised
by so many people. The reality is made clear through social media.

Before social media--these right-wing nut jobs lied about their popularity and
pontificated in ways that made everyone believe that their views were the norm.

Clearly, that is not the case.

As you said, social media will kill hate radio. I can't wait until that happens. Until
it does, I will enjoy watching the majority in this country rise up and comment all
over the place--exposing the fact that so many in this country cannot stand these
fools.

There's an absolutely withering attack on ProFlowers on page after page of commentary. The response is overwhelming and it's rising to the level of a sociological phenomenon against this company. No wonder they did an abrupt about-face on their sponsorship of Pig Snout. Some of the comments were funny:

I used to send ProFlowers to people when I wanted to express how much I love them, in a special way. However I can no longer send ProFlowers when this company reminds me of Rush Limbaugh. He exudes hate. I don't understand why you want to connect your brand with his through advertising.

all the "dump Rush!" comments aren't enough, here and there are comments from customers complaining about how awful the flowers were that they'd ordered. Oh, and one said the chocolates were so old they were white instead of brown.

I contributed this:

I ordered the "make me a sandwich, slut" arrangement, and it didn't produce the desired result. I thought that by sending it, it would make up for calling the woman in question a prostitute and a slut, but it didn't.

Instead, she threw the arrangement at me and told me that not only did she want me to suspend my relations with her, she was making it permanent. She wants to make it permanent and not just "suspend" calling women sluts and prostitutes!?

Now how am I supposed to win with such a hard-headed stance. She could have just made me a sandwich, apologized for getting offended when I called her a slut and a prostitute when I lied about her, and then acknowledged that I was kind enough to buy her the "make me a sandwich, you slut" package. She didn't even have to do anything but open the beer, make me a sandwich and serve it to me. I even acted like I tried to apologize.

Also I made sure to note that ProFlowers "suspension" is minor. "Liberty Media" associated with many right wing causes is behind them, including the Koch Brothers. They support it, if they support him saying it, period.

While as of today Pro Flowers says they have "Suspended" their support of Rush Limbaugh's radio show, that is not sufficient to demonstrate their concern for women. Huge difference between suspending and ending.
I would rather have a bouquet of dandelions from the front yard than spend 2 cents to support a company which supports Limbaugh.
