Rush - As soon as u started losing the big $$ from your hate speech, you caved & obeyed the men who pay u. Who's the prostitute now, bitch?

(45,358 posts)His power is gone.
As I've said in other threads, I think his career is over. Though he might not know it yet.
What I learned from this ordeal? Rush Limbaugh is not invincible. He is looking at Glenn Back, Book, Bick...whatever his name was, and sheeting his pants.

Thanks Michael Moore! Again.
I read some of his tweets yesterday and was rolling. The man is creative.

(4,407 posts)It's not meant to denigrate women but in fact, seems to refer more to prison inmates. In this case, Rush is in prison, in a sense, and has to keep Romney, ermh, happy. There are really appropriate times to use certain words.
Ruby the Liberal
(26,219 posts)Yes. This a good (and appropriate) use of the word.

(17,055 posts)Your description is a good fig leaf to provide cover for misogyny at best.
Lets just think about what you said for a minute.
Why do prison inmates call other inmates bitch? I submit that it is to denigrate certain inmates to the status of a certain type of female and is not a reference to a dog or any other such nonsense.
Women prisoners rarely refer to each other as sister. Instead, bitch and whore are the common terms of reference.
For male prisoners Bitch is common reference used when one man essentially becomes the property of his protector and is known as his bitch.
Nice try at justification thou. I cant think of a time when using the term bitch is ok unless one is referring to the animal (dog).

(16,646 posts)It is clearly a prison slang usage in intent. Making a reference to Rush being the property of his advertisers. The misogyny is within the prison etyomolgy. That is why the term took on the meaning it has. But the meaning is clearly about the property/ownership status. Moore is clearly mocking Rush in that sense. The misongyny isn't significant to the idea expressed.
