Weather is just that weather and nature is not selective - just random.
Ignore the ratings morons who pander to the miracles.

I just believe that God created the earth to be self sufficient and then stepped back and watches it like a soap opera.
It makes him less douchey. If he IS the god that so many believe in and prayers do reach him and he intervenes, why does He let certain people have miracles and others, more deserving not? I'd rather think that he's not able to intervene or doesn't exist to be perfectly honest.

So far I've seen this storm's victims used to score points on the midwest, conservatives, and now religion. I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but I still am.

MY religious thoughts no more belong on the issue of this tragedy than YOURS do. The difference is I haven't expressed any, and your "anger" took the form of a shitty, snarky, low blow soapbox moment in an entirely inappropriate context. I seriously hope you aren't this tone deaf when dealing with people suffering a loss.

People say that all the time when a tragedy happens, esp. involving innocents.

Clearly, the poster was making an angry statement that is commonly made.

However, unlike your prejudicial post, odds are pretty good this will be locked by jury.
RIP Little one, at least you got to draw breath and you're with your mom and dad.
Such a tragedy.

If you had an ounce of tact in you you'd know that the death of a baby is not the time to argue religion.

"Angel has been reunited with her parents," her grandfather, Jack Brough, said in a statement. "We want to thank God for all of you and for your thoughts and prayers. God will bring you and all of us out of this. This is what it will take. All should look to God."

But how should we 'look to God'?

You can find numerous quotes from people thanking God for their survival. Worst of all is probably this Christian Post puff-piece:

for saving them from the monster. But when someone loses their daughter, their son in law, and their grandchildren in one weekend, they're welcome to say whatever they want about whatever deity they want. Anyone who can't see that has bugs in their head.
