When riot police intervene:

This is the response that Oakland PD unleashed on Occupy protesters:

This is the response that Parks Service/Capital PD unleashed on Tea Party activists at the White House...

Bicycle helmets and billy clubs?!

Give me a fucking break.

Scott Olsen, an Iraq war veteran was nearly killed by a skull fracture from a tear gas canister shot at point blank range by Oakland law enforcement...

2. And did you see the baggers whine and declare how oppressive these poor folks were?

Poor people were as courteous and non-confrontational as could be and got nothing but insults.

In no more than two YouTube videos did I see pushing and shoving of LEOs at the White House by these scoundrels.

Ever see the result of a Democrat shoving a cop?

10. I think they were downright itching for a riot and bloodshed.

This won't be the last of them, either.

8. It's true, I'd be afraid of a woman in a bicycle helmet and a riot stick.

I wouldn't have been in my youth, but my last encounter with cops left me with a torn left rotator cuff and ruptured left biceps tendon. My days of brushing away police batons are over.

I mean what's your point? Would you have rather a small crowd of middle aged people get beat up? I think they handled it about like it should have been.

If that stuff keeps happening, or the crowd gets bigger, I'm sure it will be handled in proportion.

15. I'm not advocating violence whatsoever...

What I am advocating, however is attention to the clearly politicized 'show of force' that is being demonstrated in comparing the two demonstrations.

In one video, a protester at the White House claims that the LEO's appear to look like "UN soldiers" and "brownshirts"

In the two images above, which LEO looks like the soldier to you?

16. There were many many incidents during OWS ..

..that were handled in many different ways - some good, some bad. That's all I'm saying. To look at one extreme and compare it to one (of at best a handful) of events is not so genuine, imo.

Incidents in which police over-reacted and acted in extreme ways. Other incidents in which they didn't. What's so hard to understand?

By handling them with the kiddy gloves, they have legitimized them, they make them believe they're on their side. This will occur again and again and eventually we'll end up with brownshirts marching in the streets and throwing bricks through the windows of liberals and forcing the GLBT population to wear purple triangles on their clothing.
