Republican Party is. I was noticing several references to this being a tea party debacle, tea party members' faults, etc. mostly from right wing type sites I've also noticed that when the tea party does something American voters support they are "Republicans" passing this, or doing that. The Republicans and gop owned press are making this all about the tea party. For those who comment on other sites, please use the word Republican and don't let the many, many voters who are not politically aware hate the "Tea Party" and then vote again for their Republican congressperson. Republicans took our economy hostage. Yes, the tea party faction in their party caused much of it, but that's precisely why the Tea Party doesn't want their name on a ballot.

(9,462 posts)possible so everyone knows the tea party is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republicans, but without their name on the ballot. Many don't even know the gop is the republican party. Let's not let them squirm out of this. The tea party is a bunch of nut jobs trying to ruin the country, and they are members of the Republican party. The democrats won't have them. haha
