(3,398 posts)a little while ago, suggested that those TP reps who instigated this unnecessary shut down should have to apologize not only to the American people but to the mothers deprived of WIC benefits they were entitled to, to the government employees who will lose two weeks pay and to the little children who were sent home from Head Start programs.
You can bet if the tables were turned APOLOGIZE NOW would be the battle cry.

(30,745 posts)admitting that he did all this for fundraising purposes. That may put off many people, especially those who were furloughed and harmed by the shutdown. It will take some people a while to catch up, because of the missed paychecks. They could be starting to see him as an overpaid, rich, lazy jerk.

(56,177 posts)method defined in the Constitution...it's not a state issue but a federal issue. Also, state reps/pols, who are elected such as mayors, governors, satte reps, etc can be recalled, at least some states allow for it...actually, probably most do.
