All they do is gum up their followers brains with more racism and classism, homophobia and sexism. Altzheimers patients regress back in maturity. (My dad has the disease but is responding well to treatment). They react with anger when they are frustrated in their thinking or are presented with novel information that contradicts what they want. And people who are angry are not in a position to learn anything.

It is said that holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. We can't let ourselves fall into this trap and always remember that the people we are fighting are still people.

I'd add that there seems to be an effort to withhold information and issue bogus reports to inspire conspiracy theories and induce in the populace a state of conspiracy fatigue.

and has been addicted to right-wing talk radio for the past five years. She's so filled with hate and anger! She jokes that her Republican vote cancels my "Democrat" vote (she spews right-wing rhetoric relentlessly), but I find it most distressing that her world view is fomented by hate and anger.
