Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Thursday criticized former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her handling of the Benghazi attack and President Obama on the way he approached the Osama bin Laden raid.

Cheney said that Clinton did not take responsibility for her role in the response to the 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya.

Furthermore, State Department witnesses told the House committee that Kennedy approved the exemption of the Benghazi special mission from State Department physical security guidelines; that it was Kennedy's decision to send home the 16-man military security team the Defense Department had offered to provide at no cost to the State Department; that disagreements over security went to Kennedy for arbitration; and that Kennedy was very involved in staffing, budget and travel related to Libya.

"The ARB downplayed Kennedy's role in the decision-making that led to the inadequate security posture in Benghazi," reads the House Oversight Committee report.

CBS News asked State Department officials to comment on the report pinpointing Kennedy's role in security decisions and they declined comment on that subject.

Testimony provided by a State Department Diplomatic Security (DS) official indicates that Kennedy was discussing decisions about the status of the Benghazi compound with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to the House Oversight Committee report. DS desk officer for Libya Brian Papanu described to the committee a meeting two months before the attacks at which the question was posed: Did the State Department intend to continue the mission in Benghazi beyond December? According to Papanu, Kennedy responded that "he had to check with S." Asked what "S" means, Papanu told the House committee: "That would be Secretary of State."

12. Trust me visits are rough with my pops.

It is the only time I drink & even then I have to take a lot of time outs. My dad is the definition of a RWNJ but at this point the only time I see him he is usually having something removed due to cancer (first a lung, now a leg) so I spend a lot of time doing deep breathing exercises.

I figure eventually he will be stuck living with us where even my kids have refined their debating these fools that good ole grandpa will get a new spin on things.

Although I don't understand how 4 deaths in a very unstable country are comparable to the many thousands, both military and civilians, who died thanks to Bush and the evil Cheney. Aside from the 60 who died in diplomatic posts at the hands of terrorists during the Bush administration. I never heard anyone blaming Powell and Condi Rice for their deaths.
