(62,265 posts)Otherwise, it's not a big deal that she signed a petition wanting Hillary Clinton to run. I mean, in theory shouldn't we want everyone to run who wants to run? That's how I think she saw signing that petition. If someone wants to run, then run, no big deal.
Let's hope Warren "becomes interested" in running.

(62,265 posts)She signed a petition that all the other women Senators signed. What needs to be understood is said petition was secret, supposed to be shared only among the women in the Senate. The women Senators have a dinner every 6 weeks where they get together and everything is off the record. So it's not surprising that Warren would sign such a petition because these are ladies that want to get things done and would support anyone in their group running.
Basically it's down to Warren signing a petition encouraging any woman to run, this petition in particular had Hillary's name behind it, but I bet if another petition was made petitioning the support of a woman Senator, she'd sign it. Anyone who wants to run should run, that's the basic idea behind her signature I think.
