Now here's an idea...Citizens Congressional Oversight Committee

Friday 47 million Americans experienced their SNAP benefits (food stamps) cut. Included in that 47 million figure are children, expectant mothers, elderly, student, veterans, whole entire families, people working and those unemployed.

Not one member of Congress had anything cut Friday. Congress makes a yearly salary of over $174,000.00. They don’t need SNAP assistance. So they could give a shit about those Americans who do need SNAP benefits to survive monthly.

My solution to the 113th Congress, and every single Congressional class that follows, and their lack of doing jack shit for “We The People” is simple. Appoint a panel consisting of the unemployed, mothers, fathers, veterans, students, elderly and minorities, to oversee the work and actions of both Houses of Congress for The United States Of America.

Simple solution to a nasty problem of Congress doing NOTHING each Congressional session. Well nothing except taking breaks & vacations. Out of 365 days a year the Congressional body works 112 days a year. They get paid over $174,000.00 for 112 days of work. That comes out to $1553.57 a day.
