(65,616 posts)Texas went back into the Dark Ages sheshe2. I have to remind young people that we have great liberals and progressives from this state...they are just overshadowed by the EPIC losers that come from this state too.
Wonderful quote! She was so ahead of her time!

(83,759 posts)and I was up so late the night that Wendy had the filibuster. I had to see the outcome. She speaks for Texas, and for all women. She has the same spirit and strength that both Ann and Molly had.
I know it's dark in Texas, so many states under GOP rule are. I think people are listening, Rex. I think they are standing up. In fact I know they are.
The most important thing for all of us, is GOTV 2014. We still have a few left to push in 2013....so we vote.

(65,616 posts)threads on empowered women! I LOVE seeing that here in GD! Very refreshing!
Wendy Davis is the total package and I will do whatever I can to make sure she is our next governor OR senator if she wants to go down that route!
The day of the empowered Texas woman is BACK and it is TIME to get rid of these knuck-dragging men like Rick Perry!
The AGE of the WOMEN is NOW!

(4,876 posts)I did projection for a LGBT film festival that Molly attended. She was also in one of the films, discussing Texas legislators passing anti-sodomy laws.
When the two legislators shook hands after getting their law on the ballot Molly looked at them and said:
"That's the last time a dick is going to touch an asshole in this state."
Man you could hear me howling from the projection booth. Molly did too and she stopped by to say hi and thanks. What a great woman she was...

(9,580 posts)I thought she was here with us. Well, I guess she is. She would be so proud of Cecile, President now of Planned Parenthood.
Please don't give up the fight, folks. It has only begun (again!)
