New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's (R) reelection Tuesday shows Republicans can win in "every state," the chairman and vice chairman of the Republican Governors Association said in a joint statement.
The statement came shortly after the race was called for Christie.
"Governor Chris Christies overwhelming victory proves that voters are looking for confident and competent leadership," Republican Governors Association Chairman Bobby Jindal (LA) and Vice Chairman Scott Walker (WI) said in a joint statement. "His victory also proves that Republicans can compete and win in every state. His tenure as chief executive has placed a premium on achieving results over scoring political points. We are proud to congratulate Governor Christie on being rewarded by the voters with a much-deserved second term and look forward to his continued hard work on behalf of the people of New Jersey."

Christie had an undeserved reputation as a moderate (whatever that's supposed to mean) because of his behavior around the Sandy disaster.

(6,913 posts)God knows why he think we'd go for that. He seems to dislike Christie intensely. Maybe he'd support a 3rd party split if Christie's doing well leading up to 2016? Nothing better than dissension in the Puke ranks.
