Considering the GOP campaign, it shouldn't even be close. But, it is and that's scary no matter who wins.

The fact that Cooch was able to make this so close despite being outspent and out-campaigned will embolden the tea party wing of the GOP. While that tactically may not be "bad" for us (heh-heh) the fact remains that Democrats still have a problem getting their voters out to the polls in off-year elections. THIS CANNOT CONTINUE. Democrats need to get out and vote in every single election...not just presidential election years. Failure to do so will result in tea-partiers gaining power all across the map.

The city of Fairfax hasn't even reported, and overall, only 45% of Fairfax County precincts are reporting, where McAuliffe has a 20% lead.

Check out huge and purply blue Faifax County, very blue Alexandria City, very blue Charlottesville, very blue Portsmouth, very blue Suffolk, etc. The city of Richmond is blue but the surrounding areas are red.
