The media will have their fun, but Christie is DOA in the GOP

There will be the usual national spectacle of pundits and national polls proclaiming that the time has come for a moderate Republican that will last right up until actual Republican primary voters get involved.

Rick Santorum would demolish Christie head-to-head, unless there is some new Republican primary electorate we haven't seen yet.

Maybe after a decade out of office, and becoming a Mormon Bishop, and running and losing once, then perhaps Christie could pull a Romney reinvention.

But actually being governor of NJ while running? Good luck with that.

they'd possibly be willing to go the pragmatic route rather than the purity route.

And even if he somehow managed to survive it, he is too "brusque" (a softened way to put it) and un-Presidential. And it's too late to reform his volatile explosive personality. He might be able to hold it in check briefly like he did a year ago, but as folks have seen over the past couple months, his natural bullying personality returned front and center.

I agree wholeheartedly.....Christie's big mouth will always get him into trouble....he explodes like an over-inflated ballon and is never sorry for his outbursts.....let alone apologize for them
