lol@Holy Moly. Rachel is hilarious, look at that, she says, he was actually trying to end it all.

His other praises:

The partial tally of what this nation lost under President Bush so far:

• The World Trade Center
• A piece of the Pentagon
• Five or six trillion dollars--again, so far
• A doubled national debt
• Over six-thousand dead American soldiers and over forty-seven-thousand wounded (not to mention billions of dollars in weapons, supplies, and equipment blown up, wasted, or stolen)
• Untold numbers of Iraqis, Afghanis, and Pakistanis dead and wounded, and thousands of refugees
• The sympathy and the cooperation of almost every nation on the planet
• A big chunk of New Orleans
• The housing market
• Every amendment in the Bill Of Rights except the second
• A valuable CIA agent specializing in nuclear counter-proliferation
• Safe airline travel
• Safe food
• Safe water
• Safe, regulated exploration for and extraction of coal, oil, and gas
• Impartial climate science
• The integrity of the Justice and Interior departments
• Years of government research on climate change
• Eight years of stem cell research
• The nation's moral standing on war crimes and torture
• Two million jobs
• Fair elections
• The integrity of the private property system
• Trillions of dollars swindled from Americans by banks you refused to regulate
• The Kyoto Treaty
• Three-thousand points off the Dow

10. I think attacking Iraq was more payback for his dad.

With strong pressure from cheney.

Didn't like bush from the start. The primary race, mostly between him and "Straight Talk" McCain, showed me an arrogant and sneering man who clearly was beneath the office. I guess that is a bit arrogant of me to say, but that's the way I saw things. Long before 9*11 and the attack on Iraq. Did not like bush.

But the play up of the security issue at home after those attacks, and the anthrax attacks, with newsbreaks letting the people know the "threat level" had changed. I mean, full on propaganda at home, vast majority of major media supportive from word one, and they used the same fear-mongering tactics to push the Patriot Act and the IWR resolution, etc.

There was more than one reason to go to war with Iraq, from bush's perspective, I think. Maybe "forcing the end of the world," was one, but at the heart of it, the thing that truly made bush give the orders to attack Iraq, I believe, was to seek revenge for Saddam's reported attempt against his dad.

Was that too long?
