The film ''Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight'' is about the Supreme Court case Clay v. United States A really good film for folks that like films regarding The Supreme Court.
In the film there is a newly married U.S. Supreme Court Justice having lunch in a restaurant with the young girl (not his wife).
One of the law clerks or a justice remarks that it's nothing new for him. So, I had to do some Google'ing to see who it could be. It was Justice Douglas.
In real life William O. Douglas holds the record among Justices for having had the most wives (four) and the most divorces (three) while on the bench.
-snip-
Douglas married Mildred Riddle on August 16, 1923. Mildred divorced Douglas on July 20, 1953.
On December 14, 1954, he married Mercedes Davidson (née Hester), whom he had been seeing while married to Mildred.
He married Joan Martin, a 23-year-old law student, on August 5, 1963, five days after his divorce from Mercedes was finalized.
He married Cathleen Heffernan, a 22-year old college student, on July 15, 1966, two weeks after his divorce from Joan was finalized. They remained together until his death.

... and Justice Harlan did not have a law clerk named Connolly - no one has.

Of course the film was NOT a documentary but I wish they had at least gotten the names of the law clerks correct.
I thought the whole film was great though.
Did you notice that Justice Thurgood Marshall (played by Danny Glover) looked more like Justice Clarence Thomas?
If they ever make a movie and need someone to play Thomas then Glover would be perfect for the role.

(131,202 posts)3. Thanks for checking the history, Tx4!
Inside the Court's been largely kept inside, so not surprised about clerks.
Yes, noticed that Marshall didn't look much like Marshall.

But I sorta think that a 68 year old man marrying a 22 year old woman might be just a little bit too much of an age difference.

Young girls are 7 year olds.
