It makes NO sense for there to be a conspiracy.

People start with possible motives instead of the evidence, all of which points to Oswald alone.

When after all
It was you and me . . .

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game . . .

I lived in Dallas for nearly decade, beginning right smack dab in the mid-60s, and I was always stunned by the continuing hatred for JFK: it tasted bad

So I thought a bit about all this long ago, before concluding about thirty years back that there will probably never be a credible alternative to the Warren Commission report

But sometimes I still remember that bad taste

Since that can't be the basis for any plausible theory, I frame none

But I still remember it sometimes, fresh and awful as when I first tasted it

Oswald might have pulled the trigger or he might have been one of the triggermen, but the bigger question is who put the triggerman up to the deed. JFK had many powerful enemies. I just want to know who drew the short straw and put the plan in motion to have it carried out.

Powerful New Orleans mobster Carlos Marcello used to brag that he'd had it done. He seems as good a suspect as any, and he had ties to the people in Dallas who were connected to the CIA. I think that's where I'd look first. I don't think the information that would lead to a conclusion about it all will ever be released, however. With the possible exception of a couple of very old people, that information was carried to grave.
