There's just something wrong about this

Yes, I know hogs are a real problem and this is going to spark a shitstorm of hunters, guns, etc.-but this just doesn't sit well with me. I suppose it's the video-game aspect of the whole thing and the obvious glee and excitement in the voices that is disturbing. And this is with hogs-drones do elevate (?) killing to a new plateau.

There is something about hunting that once had a certain mystic about it-the Noble Savage, autumn days, walking thru woods with a dog and your son/daughter, quality time with the idea of using what you killed - have somehow been lost or misplaced it seems. Some of my fondest memories is of hunting with my uncle as he talked about how to hunt and gun safety. He always used what he shot and had nothing but respect for the sport and the game he harvested. Later in life, he got a "hunting " cabin which turned out to be a get-away-from-the-wife cabin where he played cards and drank with his cronies and never saw any wildlife outside of the cabin.
Scopes,high-powered guns, assault weapons as hunting guns, walkie-talkies, auctions to kill endangered species, organized hunts, and all the rest have taken a lot out of the whole experience.
