Busted! Health Insurers secretly spent big to defeat ACA while pretending to support it.

The story won't let me copy and paste so here are a few details. It is definitely worth the read.

AHIP spent $102.4 Million secretly trying to defeat the bill through the Chamber of Commerce. The story provides the details of how they "laundered" the money to keep the public from knowing.
Also, one of the big problems America Health Insurance Plans had with the ACA was the medical loss ration. Basically, the part that says they have to spend 80% of the premiums on medical care. You know, only getting 20% profit isn't enough.

just yesterday, in a thread here, people were saying that the health insurance industry wrote the bill ... and at the same time are trying to destroy it.

So we've got this great DU conspiracy theory that says the industry wrote the bill that it is trying to destroy.

I say pick one or the other. In reality, I'm sure the whole thing is far more complex, with a lot of bad players and possibly also an equal number of, if not good, at least diligent players.
