David Gregory Just Made Me Throw Up a Little

This phenomenal DICK, David F'ing Gregory, on NBC Nightly News, just compared Obama and the early, shaky rollout of the ACA to…..wait for it….George F'ing W. Bush and the 'G. D.' IRAQ WAR!!!!!! Did W. have every single corporatist, billionaire, racist, ignorant right wing mother f***er in the whole God D*mned country obstructing, lying and deceiving at every single, solitary turn? Meet The Press is a worthless P.O.S. with him at the helm.

From what my mother and others of her generation told me, Medicare wasn't too warmly received way back then, at first.

Now, like Social Security, it is considered close to a "G*d-given right" by and for retirees.

But your point is valid.

Whenever I talk to a republican who is on Medicare, I refer to it as Johnsoncare, as in LBJ. I also like to discuss their monthly Roosevelt Security check they receive.

I was listening while driving so not sure who it was. From the contempt in her voice I think she was referring to MSNBC. Specifically Andre Mitchell. Heard the first fifteen minutes and it was all, "disaster," "fiasco" he has no remaining credibility to get anything passed. The fugging piece of shit was so over the top even Gregory, who was on to add to the pile on, attempted to temper her remarks.

He's a catapult the propaganda-ist.

I also recently heard John Boeher call the health care system prior to the ACA "The best health care delivery system in the world". His implication was the ACA would wreck it. Uh, John, the system was a wreck, the ACA FIXES IT! (John's been doing a lot of BIG LIES lately. Don't need an LGBT workplace anti-discrimination bill because there's already laws in place to prevent that. John's "facts" are manufactured 2 seconds before they come out of his mouth and nobody calls him on it!)

Our entire national discourse is agenda driven propaganda. It sure as hell is no longer news!

Why do our Dems repeatedly bend to this bullshit instead of standing on the merits of the ACA?

Another thing - the gov't website is reported to be glitchy. I've heard the ACA 800#'s are working JUST FINE and the state exchanges are working just fine. Americans need something like a mother ship website to guide them through the many avenues available to sign up.

Are the Repubs all bitching about an ethereal talking point instead of facts? How many of them have had a bad experience signing up vs. how many are robotically aping Rush/Hannity/MSM talking points?

And where are all the voices from those that had their lives ruined by the old system? All the medical bankruptcies from people that thought they had good insurance and all the people that suffered and died for lack of health insurance? IF we're going to compare a glitchy websight to a fucking war we should also talk about the death and misery of the old health care delivery system that yearly killed almost as many people as the entirety of the Viet Nam War!

The estimated 45,000 lives a year we lost per year because of their lack of healthcare is orders of magnitude more serious than a glitchy website!

The current anti-ACA propaganda is irrational and it just goes to show how effective MASS PROPAGANDA has been for making the average American grossly misinformed.

find Bush fuck-ups to compare it to. Gregory is far from the first and the Iraq War is not all they've used (Katrina has been quite popular).

And the really odd thing, Stewart points out, that these are the same people who were defending Bush during all his screw ups.

He used to be a liberal darlling, asking the tough questions at press conferences... a real thorn. Does anyone remember that? Or am I dreaming?

Then one day something must have happened. He struck a deal with the devil, and danced with Rove. And he changed. They must have said, "Shut up, be our boy, and we'll get you the host job on Meet the Press." He did, and they did.
