Mary Cheney: 'I Will Not Be Seeing' My Sister At Christmas

The ongoing feud between former Vice President Dick Cheney's daughters spilled out into the open this weekend after Mary Cheney wrote on Facebook that her sister Liz, a GOP U.S. Senate hopeful in Wyoming, was on the "wrong side of history" on the issue of gay marriage.

"I love Mary very much. I love her family very much," Liz Cheney said Sunday. "This is just an issue on which we disagree."

While their parents are trying to be “as neutral as they can,” Mary told the New York Times, the public spat could create more tension during the holiday season.

The entire family will gather near Jackson Hole in Wyoming, where Liz Cheney currently resides, for Christmas. As for sitting down with her sister, Mary Cheney told the Times, “I will not be seeing her.”

You should either accept her as what she is - Mary's lawfully wedded wife - or keep your distance. K&R

When running for office, being accepted by the extremists in your party is much more important than your family.
