Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception) Confirms He Wrote Batkid Score
If youre on the Internet today (Nov. 15), theres a good chance youve tuned in to follow the saga of Batkid, AKA 5-year-old leukemia patient Miles whose dream of becoming Batman has been made into a fantastical reality thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The city of San Francisco has been transformed into Gotham City, with an army of volunteers and even Major League Baseball team the San Francisco Giants working together to make Miles wish come true as he whisks around town with Batman catching villains like the Joker and saving damsels in distress to the supportive cheers of thousands of onlookers.
As the Batkid phenomenon grew into such a massive collaborative endeavor, more luminaries have come out wanting to contribute to the project to make the moment as special as possible for Miles, including renowned composer Hans Zimmer, the man responsible for the music behind The Dark Knight movie trilogy who has written a special theme song specifically for Batkid.
