Who Represents the Illinois Town Just Razed by a November Tornado?

A climate change denying Koch whore, that's who.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/11/17/1256299/-Who-Represents-the-Illinois-Town-Just-Razed-by-a-November-Tornado

When I saw the tragic destruction of Washington and the ties to the broader issue of climate action, I wondered, "Who represents those towns in Congress?"

Republican Aaron Schock:What do we know about Schock's record on climate issues? He voted to bar the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases.

He's signed the "No Climate Tax Pledge" put forth by the Koch Bros' Americans for Prosperity:

Aaron Schock also voted against the Hurricane Sandy relief bill earlier this year.

I live near one of the towns destroyed by a tornado. (New Minden) I have talked to John Shimkus many times, and he is nuts. I am embarrassed that he represents me. He actually signed a book for me once in the airport in St. Louis. (The Wrecking Crew, Thomas Frank) with a bible quote. Now one of the towns in his district is destroyed by a freak November tornado. The funny thing is that the church in New Minden was destroyed, by a tornado from God, for the third time. The bar 2 blocks down the street ( The Blue Room) was just fine. It has been there since 1904. I had a beer there yesterday. The cable was out though. These people that live here are willfully and profoundly ignorant. It is a shame that they vote for someone like Shimkus. I apologize to the rest of you.

Cheers,
Banzai

If, as they say, God struck the town for being over-frisky,
Why did He burn the churches down, but spare Hotaling's whisky?

Very, very few will snap out of their entrenched world view, and it is quite sad (especially since so much of it is decidedly Anti-Christ in philosophy).

i heard about this guy during a union meeting to recommend candidates. his name was on the top of the list to get rid of but it`s a solid republican district.

he`ll be whining to the government to throw some money his way.
