CNN Hero's announced

CNN has a program to recognize hero's in our communities and our nation. Not the usual soldier or police stories. Just everyday people who try and make it a better place for us all. This years winner is Chad Pregracke. He has spent the last several years trying to clean up our waterways starting with the Mississippi river.

He won $250k to help continue his work, in addition to the $50k to being recognized as one of the top ten hero's.

There are many more inspiring stories. But I thought we could take inspiration from these examples to see what we can do to help our local communities.
