The CBS News poll found Obama's approval rating falling nine points in just the last month to 37 percent, the lowest mark of his presidency. Fifty-seven percent said they disapprove of the job he is doing.
The numbers are even worse for his signature domestic achievement. A huge majority of 61 percent said they disapprove of the health care law, up from 51 percent in October and the highest level of opposition to Obamacare in the history of CBS News polling. Only 31 percent said they approve of the Affordable Care Act, down from 43 percent a month ago.
A Washington Post/ABC News survey on Tuesday also showed opposition to Obamacare reaching a new high, mounting evidence that the law's troubled rollout has taken a political toll.

Go ahead to the blue cross website and apply (don't even use the Gov website) you'll see they no longer refuse anyone.
You're taking about the hay republicans make for the 'grandfathered high profit policies' the Corps get to keep on taking premiums?
Sure the insurance corps will get to keep on collecting premium $$$$ for 'grandfathered'. Soon as the person needs that insurance, they will get dumped. Then they get their ACA insurance.

(47,953 posts)Who blame every failing on Obama personally, and give a free pass to the insurance companies who are illegally trying to direct people away from ACA policies, and a free pass to the dirty tricksters who are trying to crash the website with denial of service attacks? I wonder what the support level would be if the media actually ran stories on people who did get good policies at good rates, and compared the experiences of those living in states who have embraced the ACA vs. those who have fought it tooth and nail?

(27,315 posts)We know polls are looking bad for Obama right now.. This is not news. It will be like that until they regain control of the narrative.
This will come because they either are able to report real progress and stop looking like idiots who are not in control (yes, the media and the GOP focus on this, but many of the errors made were unforced - As somebody who have been in the software business and who has started to rollout projects in very rocky conditions, what amazes me is the lack of damage control of the operation, as evidenced by the fact that, one month after the rollout, we learn that the subsidy mechanism is not yet written. Seriously? And Carney has no decent answer on whether it will be ready on Dec 31rst so that people can actually get their insurance. Get people who know what they are talking about in front of the media. Let them answer every single question even if it takes an hour. Air the press conference live, and then start fixing the problem in a reasonable way, not an ad hoc way )
or because something more important happens.

I'm sure the media will ensure it reaches that level in the polls.
Still, you have to ask: Why the disparity?
WaPo/ABC and CBS show huge drops, but Reuters and National Journal don't.
