In my bathrobe and pajamas. Drinking hot coffee or hot chocolate. Looking out the window at the bleak, gray PNW landscape while being all nice and warm and toasty indoors.

And laughing my ass off at all the discount-junkies out there busting their humps in a fevered frenzy to get the best deal.

For me, the best deal is staying at home with my family enjoying a relaxing day off.

....but we don't just pick on WalMart.

Produce MORE,
Consume LESS.

Since we moved from the Big City to The Woods in 2006,
we avoid buying anything NEW whenever possible.
We buy 2nd hand or salvage (directly from the previous owner when possible) and make it work, or do without.

Living well on a low Taxable Income
Next year, we will CONSUME even less.

Many items that I usually buy at Kroger are at least $1 cheaper at Target.

Never shop the day after Thanksgiving.

I'm going to guess that the main folks who won't shop there or that day are mostly like me, already don't shop there or on that day.

The streets are far too crazy with irresponsible, semi-deranged lunatics...far worse than New Year's Eve in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Walmart will be host to crowds stampeding over each other at Midnight on Black Friday to get one of those insanely cheeps whatchamahooies.

Their sales are more than three times as much as the #2 retailer, Kroger Stores.
