David Brooks in typical form this evening (NPR)

In a Friday tradition, NPR features E.J. Dionne of the Washington Post and David Brooks of the Sensible Centrist Institute to discuss the weekly issues. One topic was the nuclear option exercised by Harry Reid, with Brooks calling it a 'tradge-uh-travidge-uh-travesty' and going downhill into outrage that Dems couldn't simply 'play by the rules'. When Dionne attempted to bring up the numbers of filibustered appointments under Obama as compared to all other presidents combined, the host (Audie Cornish?) made a sudden change of topic to cut him off, ala Steve Inskeep.

He also took the time to attack the 'Camelot Culture' that JFK had brought to America, claiming it forever changed the notion of politics for Americans and moving it away from the simple solving of issues.
