In this day and age: Could a secret that would ROCK THE WORLD be kept? In the U.S.A.?

No Brother tells a Sister, or vice-versa?

No Mother or Father tells a Child?

No Uncle or Aunt tells a Niece or Nephew?

No Cousin tells a Cousin?

No Grandparent tells a Grandchild?

No Neighbor tells a Neighbor?

No recorded phone conversations? No wiretaps? NO INTERCEPTED EMAILS? NO NOTHING?

Yeah... no. I don't think so.

I've kept secrets for most of my life.

Yes, secrets can be kept; evidence can be disposed of, people can be intimidated into silence, and we can and do will ourselves to forget. People sometimes get a little nuts when they do that, but that's all the more reason for their testimony to be disregarded.

Don't ever believe that conspiracies are fiction; they do exist, and have from the beginning of organized civilization. The only time they aren't kept is when someone gives up information. It is fact that you don't find what you don't go looking for!

It depends on when the secret incident happened.

All but your last line indicate hearsay. There's lots of that, none of which is ever taken seriously outside of entertainment.

Your last line depends on the period in time. If it was during a time when evidence was physical and on paper, sure.. it can be kept secret. If the incident was during the digital data age, it's not an easy task to keep that secret. Things are more vulnerable now because of digital data. There aren't many secrets that originate after 1995. (that date is a guesstimate)

I don't believe even small secrets can be kept for ever.
Never mind ones that change the course of the world.

"Two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead." I'm sure though that both ways are used and both ways are correct.

It's hard to cull the facts from the garbage that surrounds it.

If you're talking about the Kennedy assassination or 9/11, it doesn't matter. People have talked and many have been discounted and rationalized away. In both cases.

Documents are still sealed and the Zapruder film wasn't released until 1971. The govt. or the powers that be hold things close to the vest. We are never allowed to see the truth.

Maybe official stories are true. I'm guessing not.

The Mafia is very good at keeping them. Still no recovery of Jimmy Hoffa's body after all these years although there are rumors that pop up from time to time. None of them have had any results.

for the sake of their profits, since they dont have any REAL public interest obligations.
This is not the same country it was 30, 40 and 50 years ago, in terms of media,
newspaper reporting (grab ANY newspaper from ANYWHERE in the US from the 60's,
compare the grade level of writing and the thoroughness of discussion and tell me
we aint been dumbed down magnitudes. We have.)
Tell me that huge crimes against the security and democracy of this country have not
been committed and left alone in the last 25 years.
Tell me that.

Tell me E Howard Hunt could make deathbed confessions regarding JFK and it would make a difference.

http://www.examiner.com/article/e-howard-hunt-s-son-reveals-dad-s-deathbed-confession-about-jfk-assassination
Tell me that.

Tell me this police informants prediction doesnt corroborate Hunt's story.

http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/11/15/3756229/a-miami-police-informant-a-prophetic.html

Tell me that.

Tell me that Claude Barnes Capehart was just kidding when he feared for his life from hitmen from back east who were after him
so he begged to be jailed for protection. Tell me the HSCA didnt invite the Sheriff's deputy out for testimony. Tell me he died of a heart attack a few hours before being interviewed by coincidence. Tell me the story Capehart told his girlfriend doesnt jibe with Hunt, the informant and Oswald's claim of being a patsy.

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/1996-07-10/news/9607091059_1_minier-capehart-cia-agent

Tell me that a bunch of political junkies will express the outrage they feel when bold lies are told on cable programs,
and then go right back for more of the same, only to express further outrage, and then go back for the same.

Tell me a national election couldnt be stolen and the reality obscured by the coincidence of the 9-11-01 attack.
Tell me a bunch of frightened children arent in charge of the quest for truth.
They arent. But they are certainly obstructing things with their hypocrisy and sneering laughter
in the aftermath of a national tragedy. They may as well joke about the dead and other victims of 9-11-01.
They sure dont care much about assassinating people and children via remote control.
Please,
tell me thats not true.

Intelligence agencies by design are organizations dedicated to creating and maintaining secrets. Nuclear launch codes are secret but everyone knows they exist. You don't have to believe in UFOs to know that secrets are maintained at Area 51. If you believe JFK was killed by more than one person (and many do) then it's not really a secret is it.
